Treat Your Dog For Valentines Day
By
Do you really need another reason to love your dog even more?
Maybe not, but why not make this Valentines Day memorable for everyone in your family, including your dog.
Do something extra special with your pooch today. Here are a few ideas:
1. play ball
2. take your dog out for a walk (make it an extra long walk)
3. give your dog an extra treat
4. pet your dog longer than you usually would (don’t get sore)
5. snuggle with your dog more
6. go shopping!
I’m sure there are many more things that I can think of, however I just realized Cooper is sleeping in the windowsill. Perhaps it’s time to wake that Valentine dog of mine up!
What are you doing with your dog this Valentines Day?
As always, we love to share photos. If you have a photo of your dog having fun this Valentines Day, or even dressed up in hearts – PLEASE SHARE!!

It was Chip’s 4th birthday on Valentine’s Day. He got a new nylabone and a special dog treat. Katie got a treat too – she does not know what a birthday is and would not appreciate us playing favorites! I also gave them both a little pulled pork that I cooked for us. No onions – don’t worry!

Hi Theresa! That was so thoughtful of you giving Katie treats too. Pulled pork? Now that’s a treat! Cooper took an extra long walk and was given a new ball for Valentine’s Day. I always spoil him with treats so Valentine’s Day was no different. However, I’ve never given him “real people” food and I may consider that for his 2nd birthday this May.

My corgis live for fresh veggies. I feed them dry food in the morning but when there is protein I didn’t get around to cooking for dinner I cook it for them…or give them chicken, beef, turkey or fish that I cooked for us. It is always plain (and a little boring) but they love it. Raw green beans and broccoli sends them to the moon. They get cooked legumes as well but I stay away from potatoes, bread and dairy. Oh yeah – they don’t get much fruit other than a piece of apple now and again. They don’t need the sugar and the raw veggies are plenty of fiber.

Do you think Cooper and I can come live with you? Cooper’s favorite food is chicken and he absolutely loves carrots. He needs a chicken pot pie. I think it’s wonderful that you take care of your dogs’ health.
